Leadership we can count on
RE-ELECTION MESSAGE FROM LOELLA
Thank you to everyone who helped to make my re-election a reality. I am honored and humbled by your support, and I look forward to working with my Council colleagues and the community to ensure a successful future.
In these times – one of the toughest I can remember –
Loella is the right person to
lead Walnut Creek. She has proved she can balance the needs of our community with the financial realities and make the very difficult decisions.
As this year's Mayor, I've proven I have the experience, commitment and professional credentials to lead our community through unprecedented times and toward a stronger, more resilient future for all.
In my eight years of leadership as a councilmember, we’ve accomplished much -- all while ensuring the city's fiscal health: The All-Abilities Playground, the Lesher Center outdoor stage, significant sustainability programs, increased roadway funding, safer walk-bike routes for schoolchildren, expanded senior transportation options, additional open space, expanded homeless services, more affordable housing units, a strategic economic development plan, and the community-based “Your Parks, Your Future” work to modernize our aging recreation facilities.
~ Former Mayor Sue Rainey
Since my first election to City Council, I have been dedicated to sustaining and improving our quality of life while balancing the financial demands of city operations.
Over the last eight years, I have been using my professional and non-profit expertise working for the community.
